Local songwriter William F. Gibbs didn’t win the The Great Sufjan Song Xmas Xchange but he did make the top 40 out of 600 submissions. His song “Chasing Lights” was recorded with friend Carter Butler under the moniker “Vinson & Floyd” (the combination of the pairs’ middle names.) The song is currently being featured as a streaming song selection on Stevens’ Asthmatic Kitty record label website. You may stream the song there or download it on Gibbs’ own MySpace site.
